Minneapolis, MN, May 7, 2013 – The Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF Worldwide) is pleased to announce their 4th annual JBF Worldwide Global Ambassadors trip to Haiti in support of the “One Team 4 Haiti” campaign. Created in 2010 following the devastating earthquake, One Team 4 Haiti was spearheaded by JBF Worldwide, the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and Player Associations for the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB as well as other sponsors and supporting partners to bring about a large-scale relief effort in Haiti. This year’s trip will focus on long-term economic recovery and road safety, sports for development, medical relief and educational initiatives with a Global Ambassadors delegation of NFL players and numerous supporting organizations.
JBF Worldwide’s Global Ambassador delegation is comprised of leaders in the sports, business and entertainment industries including Ronnie Cameron (Philadelphia Eagles), Drayton Florence (Carolina Panthers), Barrett Green (Former NFL player and CEO of HealthMax), Claudine Oriol (Haitian Actress), Akin Ayodele (Former NFL Player), Abe Elam (Kansas City Chiefs), Kenderick Allen (NFL Free Agent), Shawn Springs (Former NFL Player and 1998 Pro Bowl member), Nate Jones (NFL Free Agent), Major League Soccer player Zachary Heriveaux (New England Revolution) and Jack Brewer (Founder and Executive Director of JBF Worldwide and CEO of The Brewer Group) as well as JBF Worldwide supporters and executives.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Haiti for the fourth time with our One Team 4 Haiti program to continue the recovery efforts and further enhance awareness of the ongoing need to rebuild and support this impoverished country,” said JBF Worldwide Founder/Executive Director, Jack Brewer. “This trip is a critical step towards our ongoing mission to unite professional athletes, international diplomats and industry leaders as we strive to ‘Empower from Within’ to provide tangible opportunities to be active participants in cultural diversity, peace and social change around the globe.”
The delegation will experience various cultural exchange opportunities including a tour of the Haiti AmeriCares warehouse, a visit to the U.S. Embassy to meet the U.S. Ambassador to Haiti, a tour of downtown Port-Au-Prince to witness the areas impacted by the earthquake and a luncheon reception at the Mayor of Delmas’ office where Jack Brewer will receive an award for his ongoing dedication to the recovery and reconstructive efforts. The group will also participate in the Long Short Walk, established by Nelson Mandela in memory of his granddaughter Zenani to highlight the need to prioritize safe walking and pedestrian protection around the world. Other activities include visits to orphanages supported by JBF Worldwide and HT 360 Foundation as well as school visits in collaboration with the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN).
Since Global Road Safety Month is May and May 6-12th is Global Road Safety Week, JBF Worldwide will also participate in a Road Safety Awareness Workshop on Thursday, May 9th. The workshop, made possible by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and hosted at the YMCA d’Haiti, aims to educate and promote awareness of safe driving habits to youth, as road accidents are the top killers of youth around the world. In conjunction with the workshop will be a Youth Soccer Match with partners YMCA d’ Haiti, the Inter-American Development Bank Youth Program and One World Futbol Project (OWFP). OWFP works with a broad network of organizations worldwide, including in Haiti, to bring the healing power of play to youth through the One World Futbol, a nearly indestructible ball proven to survive harsh environments. JBF Worldwide and IDB are collaborating with OWFP to distribute nearly indestructible Chevrolet-sponsored One World Futbols to schools in Haiti and promote personal growth and development for Haitian youth through the game of futbol/soccer. The trip will culminate with the One Team 4 Haiti Global Ambassadors Reception hosted by Acra Industries where the delegation and sponsors will be honored for their ongoing efforts and contributions.
“We are extremely excited to have hands-on participation in numerous field projects this week and to continue to make a lasting contribution in Haiti through our initiatives,” continued Mr. Brewer. “We are truly blessed to have this opportunity and thank all of our wonderful partners and supporters for making our dream a reality and helping us make a positive impact on those in need.”
The One Team 4 Haiti trip is made possible through the support of JBF Worldwide partners including: Panexus, Acra Industries, HT Beton, YMCA d’Haiti, One World Futbol Project, the HT360 Foundation, AmeriCares, Montessori Model United Nations, the Inter-American Development Bank and many more.

About One Team 4 Haiti
On Tuesday, January 26, 2010, The Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF Worldwide) teamed up with the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, Trilogy International Partners/Voila, WellMax/Health Sun and Player Associations for the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB for a large-scale Haiti Relief Effort.
